The last play-off game before final sets France in front of Poland. On the first match, both teams had left on a score of parity (2 - 2).
France have in heart to win their last match in front of their fans, even if their pillars (M.Durchon and F.Soyez) are not on the pictch as the coach S.Goodheart decides to make a turn over.
4 mn: France open the score by M.Genestet ( n°22 ), served ideally by his brother ( T.Genestet), further to an attractive collective movement along the line.
France enter well this game and manage their advantage by making turn the game: the fight in the middle of the field is launched!
14 mn: long center on the right which walks past all the finding Polish defence n°13.ideally placed T.Gourdin, this last one misses completely its shot and cannot propel the ball(bullet) in the empty purpose.
16 mn: further to a confusion in the French surface, n°13 A.Mikula shoots a backhand shot) which comes to find accommodation in full attic window: what drank! The three-coloured doorman remains powerless on his line and can only notice the damages.
Poland boosts the match, the part is given rhythm and the opportunities don’t stop multiplying on both sides.
30 mn: N 10 M.Lanos marks with an unorthodox abnormality but in the redoubtable efficiency and deceives the little inspired Polish doorman. France resumes bows and leads at the moment 2 - 1.
Not the time to blow in this first half because in 36 mn, n°06 french T.Genestet believes the advantage for overalls further to a breakthrough quoted left.
At the moment, both teams are engaged a relentless fight and want to release nothing.
So ends the first half on the score of 3 - 1 in favour of the French. The match well-made, the teams offer a beautiful showto the spectators who do not avoid their pleasure.
At this beginning of second period, Poland make more and more pressing and multiplie the offensives to restick in the score.
38 mn: the Poles are rewarded for their efforts ( 3-2 ) because it is their captain D.Rachwalski ( n°08 ) who allows them to return to a length of overalls.
40 mn: Poland equalize on PC in 3 - 3 through n°13 A.Mikula.
France have just taken two goals time after time and seem very feverish in this beginning of second half-time.
41 mn: France take back the head 4 - 3 by n°09 O.Sanchez, who moved well, deceive the attentiveness of the Polish goal-keeper.
The match is very competed.
51 mn: attempt of lob on the Polish goal-keeper who realizes a beautiful parade.
At the moment the intensity of the match begins to decline, both teams having given the most of them during almost one hour.
57 mn: Poland equalize again (4 - 4) further to a PC transformed by him(it) n°10 T.Dutkiewicz. However the referees asks for confirmation by the video, and finally the Judge arbitrates valid the goal.
At this end of match Poland knock down the French.
59 mn: incredible, Poland knock down the situation by their captain D.Rachwalski ( n°08 ). It is again on PC that the Poles find the solution.
France run after the score but the Poles remain the most dangerous.
Finally, Poland wins 5 - 4 and ends this competition on the third place. The Bleus fought well, especially in first period, but did not know how to make tilt the balance in their favour, they missed obligatorily and experience in front of Poles who have never abdicated. France thus ends its tournament on the fourth place

" There was many turnovers during this game. We gave everything, I am satisfied with the result and for the group but at the moment I am burst and we deserved well a little of rest "
French coach S.Goodheart comment :
" The match was very tight, I am disappointed by the result because we make a good first period. Afterwards we fell with rhythm in second and we did not respect the orders. I am also very disappointed by our PC which were inefficient as possible during the tournament ".
