Pakistan seems to be the favourite of this tournament. An historical hockey nation, the results of this team in World Cup prove that they should come to Lille with a unique objectif: to win!

4 titles, 2 silver medals and a participation at each event: Pakistan is has more World Cup titles than any other country in the world.

7th on the world ranking, the Pakistani can also rely on support of the field from their many supporters who come to support them in all their competitions. Pakistan has experience in major events and should prove during this week in Lille that there is no way they are missing their first World Cup.

The Pakistan opponents : Italy (Saturday October 31st at 1.30am), Russia (Sunday November 1st at 11.30am), France (Tuesday November 3rd at 3.30pm), Japan (Thursday November 5th at 1.30am), Poland (Saturday November 7th at 10.30am).

The hour of final of the WorldHockey World Cup Qualifier sounded and sets Pakistan in Japan. The victorious team of this match will qualify for the World Cup in India in February, 2010.

The last match of this 3rd day: France vs Pakistan. A true test match for the “Bleus” against the top team!

The match starts very fast, especially thanks to many fans who song the Marseillaise loudly. The spectators are behind France and are willing to encourage them and push them towards victory. 5minutes, France almost scored on a beautiful attack by M. Durchon who celebrates his 150th cap with the Blues: great performance!
